Directions

Wet hair thoroughly.

Gently massage the shampoo into your scalp and hair to work up a lather.

Use your fingers to massage your scalp and stimulate it at the roots.

Leave the shampoo in for 5 minutes to allow it to fully clarify and cleanse your hair.

Rinse your hair thoroughly with water.

I am so disappointed in Girl and Hair- I wanted to support this brand but the customer service has been disappointing. I have not received my purchase that was made on Black Friday. The shipper (USPS) was delayed on my shipment and issued a return shipment as they said my private home address was not an existing address. After numerous outreach to G+H customer service, I had to dispute the charge with my credit card provider as it was over a month and I had not received the order or a refund for my purchase. I was told by the rep at G+H that they would reimburse me less the shipment fees for my purchase when they received the returned package from USPS. I don't understand how I am being charged for the fault of the shipper they selected to use.

This is a nice set. I think it works well in my hair. I have hair that is- natural, virgin, frizzy, stringy, wavy, low porosity, oily on roots and dry in length, only use nontoxic hair products, never any heat or dye, silk pillows, wide tooth combs, but have weak hair from chronic illness and malabsorption/malnourishment. It cleans well and detangles well. I can mix them both in my palm and use all at once. There is a vinegar smell but not too bad. It lathers and spreads well. I recommend.

I picked this Girl + Hair shampoo and conditioner set to see if my scalp would benefit from a detox treatment. It smells like essential oils and apple cider vinegar. I still can�t get the shampoo to foam up like it says it will. My hair doesn�t feel smooth like when I usually wash and condition but I think that is part of the detox process. I won�t be using this set everyday but it�s nice to have to use periodically.

I was intrigued by the Hair Detox and excited to try it. I have very dry, curly/frizzy hair that I only wash once or twice a week. I'm picky about hair products as my hair is hard to tame. I liked that this product advertised "boosted shine", as my hair pretty much has none of that. The shampoo lathers nicely and cleans well. The conditioner smells really nice (like cloves, maybe?) and allowed me to put a comb through my wet hair and then made it nice and slick for adding my leave in conditioner and casting gel. My hair felt really nice after using this and styled easily.

I am so impressed with this shampoo and conditioner combo. It is working so well for me. I have naturally wavy, color-treated hair that is prone to dryness. To preserve my color as long as possible, I wash my hair every 4 or 5 days. When I style my hair wavy on wash day, I use a LOT of product. By the end of my wash cycle, my scalp is often quite itchy. Right away, how refreshed my scalp felt after applying this shampoo really stood out to me. It calmed my itchy scalp right down. And it does an amazing job of cutting through product buildup. All with a rich lather and no fragrance. I have used this shampoo both with the coordinating conditioner and other brands, as well. Its performance is consistently excellent. Unlike other clarifying shampoos, this one doesn't dry my hair out. As someone whose hair is always dry by default, I appreciate very much that this shampoo doesn't make that worse. The conditioner has good slip so it's easy to detangle my hair in the shower. It leaves my hair soft and manageable. Fantastic. One of the best claryifiers I've ever tried. Highly recommend.

The scent of this shampoo/conditioner set is a bit odd. The shampoo is pretty much unscented but the conditioner has a slight odd fragrance (much like anise or cloves) not very appealing. The shampoo cleaned my hair and the conditioner did detangle somewhat. But my hair wasn't as soft and smooth and was less manageable; maybe a little too drying for me. I don't think it is a good match for my graying hair.

The scent has a bit of a vinegar kick to it, but that dissipates pretty quickly. Due to the stronger ingredients, I wouldn't want to use this as an everyday shampoo and conditioner. I think it would be fine a couple of times a week.

I like the performance and how clean my hair feels, however I am not a fan of the smell. It has a very clove like smell that just isn't appealing to me. However there are two hair masks samples that smell amazing. I used a small amount as a leave in conditioner with great results. Worked well on my middle-agred, normal to dry hair. My hair is also growing out to its natural white / grey color and this shampoo & conditioner combo leave it feeling and clean and looking bright. Conditioner is not heavy. It is lightly moisturizing. Leaves my tailbone length hair with the ability to comb it through. Looking forward to using the rest of the bottles. No complaints or regrets.

I bought this shampoo primarily that you use on my dog that has allergies. The vinegar helps get rid of her yeasty smell and the charcoal also absorbs toxins and reduces her yeasty smell. It does a great job and does not make her hair fall out or cause her to have dry flaky skin like some very strong chemical dog shampoos out there. I've also tried it on myself. The stuff make sure skin tingle and feels really clean and cool when you're done and reverenced it off. It's no wonder my dog runs around the living room sprinting after a bath. I think she likes the cool feeling of it.. so glad somebody thought of making a shampoo with these ingredients. I highly recommend this shampoo and a little goes a long way. It lathers up really well.

I used this and was surprised that there was no apple cider vinegar smell. That scent doesn't bother me, but for those who are concerned, there is no strong scent to this. You are supposed to leave the shampoo on for at least 5 minutes and then if you use the conditioner, that's another 5 minutes so do this on a day when you need to shave your legs or be in the shower for at least ten minutes. After sitting on my hair, this wasn't sudsy and lathered but I definitely felt it on my hair. My hair was squeaky when this rinsed out so I probably will limit this to once a month unless I am really itchy. I have thick naturally curly hair and this feels like it could dry it out a bit. However for removing product and buildup this does seem to work. I also used the conditioner and my hair felt soft and clean.

I have had the chance to use this product twice so far, along with the accompanying conditioner. It is a fine product, however I didn�t notice any hugely significant effects. It did an okay job cleaning my hair. It definitely didn�t make my scalp any more itchy than normal. I was concerned primarily that this product would smell like apple cider vinegar, but it does not! It smells pleasantly and leaves my hair feeling refreshed. I would repurchase, and will probably rotate the set out to be more infrequently used, though I wouldn�t say there is anything wrong with it.

I received shampoo and conditioner. It's quite good. Rich and thick, creamy feel. I did use more than the recommended amount to get full coverage of my hair, but it is extremely thick and long. I usually apply mainly to the ends, but with this product being a detox, I focused more on scalp. It didn't make my hair oily. Absolutely zero residual fragrance (which for me was disappointing, but may be a plus for others). Rinsed out clean. I used with the GIRL+HAIR shampoo and my results were pleasing. My hair is soft and shiny but doesn't smell like I just washed it. ;)

I tried both the shampoo and conditioner of this brand on my hair. I did not use the recommended leave in conditioner afterwards and I am still in love with how well these products work! I try to only use completely natural products on my hair. I have been searching for a shampoo that can get all the buildup out of my hair because the natural products can, unfortunately, leave a lot of residue. I have only used this shampoo and conditioner once so far but I am VERY impressed. I always struggle with dandruff and my hair seems to get greasy very quickly. After only ONE washing with this shampoo I don't have flakes! I don't know if it will work the same for everyone else but so far it has exceeded all expectations. But that's what happens when a product utilizes the power of natural ingredients like apple cider vinegar and charcoal. I should say that the first time I used it I was in a hurry and did not wait the five minutes that is recommended on the bottle and it STILL worked perfectly. I can't believe how well this worked. As for the conditioner, I am especially blown away by how well it works. My hair needs to be trimmed badly and has a lot of split ends and damage. I did not think ANY conditioner could make it easy to comb at this point. I thought the only solution was to get it trimmed and cut off a large chunk of tired hair. After only one use of this conditioner I was able to comb through my wet hair with ease. And after it dried I was able to run my hands through it without my fingers getting caught on tangles. Since my hair is mostly straight naturally I don't know how this would work for other types of hair. But, again, I was absolutely blown away by what it accomplished for my hair. I am very happy to have found this shampoo and conditioner.
