UNDER HAIR CARE™ (UHC) is the first natural hair care line formulated for treating natural or relaxed hair while wearing protective styles. It is a specially formulated hair regimen for cleansing, nourishing and protecting your natural hair while wearing weaves, braids or wigs. We created these products because we want to take the labor out of caring for your natural hair underneath your hair extensions.

Why is it important to care for your own hair underneath protective styles, such as hair extensions or wigs?

Textured hair (from tight coils to loose spirals) is naturally prone to breakage. It prefers to ‘be left alone’ whether that is through a wash and go style or, in the case of many women, through wearing hair extensions or any other protective styles. Hair extensions are a great way to enjoy the versatility of various styles while giving your hair a needed break from continuous heat, mechanical and chemical damage. However, there is also a flip side to wearing hair extensions. It is very easy to neglect the hair underneath hair extensions and as the old adage goes: out of sight, out of mind. Therefore, after weeks of wearing hair extensions, the natural hair may become dry, brittle and more prone to breakage. In most cases, if not cared for, your own hair is even more damaged after wearing hair extensions.

Why can’t I use regular hair care products underneath my protective styles?

UHC uses a two pronged approach: packaging and functionality. All of our UHC packaging has been developed for easy application and use. Each product comes with an easy to use applicator tip for applying the product directly to the base of braided styles.

The products have a low viscosity yet are highly concentrated to easily and conveniently apply directly to the scalp. In addition, the line also contains fortifying and conditioning ingredients to maximize the growth, retention and strength of hair follicles, which in turn leaves wearers with full healthy and thick hair. We have included proven botanical oils such as Abyssinian, Castor, Olive, Neem, Shea, and Tea Tree oil to protect the hair follicle and promote hair growth. One of the biggest plus of our line is its great smell and ability to neutralize any odor.

The focus of UHC is to use natural ingredients. Natural ingredients include light, absorbable carrier oils and essential oils.

All products are sulfate, alcohol, paraben, petroleum, and colorants free.

Shipping Policy

What is your U.S. shipping policy?

For the U.S. and U.S. territories, we offer standard rates for ground shipping (2-3 business days) of $4.49 for all orders of up to $20, for all orders between $20 and $75 of $7.99, and FREE ground shipping for all orders over $75.

Is there a sales tax on my order?

There is no sales tax charge unless the order is being shipped to New York State.

When will my order ship?

Orders will be processed and shipped the next business day. Then, it will take anywhere from 2-3 business days within the U.S. and U.S. territories to be delivered.

We entrust our carriers to deliver your package(s) on time. If your package(s) is delayed, we will not offer a reimbursement of shipping charges.

All products purchased from this site are made pursuant to a shipment contract, which means that the risk of loss and title for such items passes on to you upon our delivery to the carrier.

How do I track my order?

When your order ships, you will receive an automated shipping confirmation with a tracking number via e-mail or phone.

What is your international shipping policy?

We offer international shipping using DHL Express and USPS.

International shipping rates are calculated by the shipping carrier depending on the weight of the package.

International customers are responsible for all customs duties and taxes. We do not accept returns on international orders and shipments.

We cannot guarantee shipping times for international shipments. International shipping can be delayed for weeks depending on customs or country of destination. While we do provide tracking numbers on all shipments, not every country we ship to tracks shipments all the way to the destination. While the majority of our shipments arrive without issue, we cannot be responsible for lost, stolen or delayed shipments.

Return Policy

Online Purchase Return

We strive for unparalleled customer satisfaction and we want you to be happy with your GirlandHair products.

In case you are unhappy with the performance of a GirlandHair product you’ve purchased, please let us know. We are happy to issue you a full refund of the purchase price (minus shipping and handling fees) upon receipt of the remaining unused product within thirty (30) days from the purchase date. Unfortunately, we cannot receive returns on overly used products or products not purchased on girlandhair.com.

Refunds will be credited to the originally used payment form.

To return items, please follow these three (3) easy steps:

1. Send an e-mail to support@girlandhair.com with your full name and order number and items to be returned. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund your original shipping charges unless the return was a result of our error.

2. Pack and seal your return merchandise securely in the original package, if possible. Otherwise, please pack your return in a well-padded envelope or box to prevent damage during shipment. Be sure to include the return authorization form in your package.

3. All return packages must be shipped via USPS and should be mailed to:

If you have purchased GirlandHair products from one of our retail partners, please return it to the location where it was originally purchased, subject to the retailers own return/exchange policy.

Incorrect or damaged product

If you’ve received an incorrect or damaged product, please email us to support@girlandhair.com within five (5) business days from the date you receive your order. We’ll email you instructions how to return an incorrect or replace a damaged item.
